Ever seen a wolf? Know some stuff about wolves?

There's none in Australia and I've never been overseas, so I've not seen a wolf in real life before.

Seen them in my backyard and in the zoo. I freaked out and locked all the windows and doors because I had no clue what to do.

True. My dad would have but I told him if he got out his gun I would burn the rest of them.

He would have some explaining to do to the cops if he did shoot them. Wolves are a protected species.

I saw one on a leash at San Diego Zoo I believe, 'twas white. c: Very beautiful, might I add.<3

I once saw a wild wolf while ATV riding, he was staring in our general direction. So adorable! Though I wouldn't want to touch him o_o

Yes, I have seen quite a few wild wolves in Yellowstone.
Up in Canyon, that's where I saw most of them & up in the Lamar Valley.

I should post some more pictures that I took. And yeah, not the best shot, but that was how far I could zoom in.
We sat there for at least a good 2 hours. There was a black one as well. They were eating on some dead carcass. (:

Here in Canada, I see a lot. But that's only when were an hour away from town or whatever xD
I have seen some in Idaho & in Oregon.

I, unfortunately, have never seen a wolf, besides books and media and the such c: I've been overseas a few times, but not to places where wolves live, either in zoos or in the wild.

I've seen them a couple times.

a) I was seven or eight and we were driving on the highway and I saw a wolf standing in the ditch. It was white with gray tinging it's shoulders.
Nobody else saw it.

b) roughly nine or so, my sister and I were looking out the window and a whole pack ran by. (this was way out in the mountains, where my grandparents regularily have cougars, bears, elk and wolves in their backyard) 0.0 To this day my sister claims I wasn't there, but if I wasn't, then how come I still remember every word she said and the image of the wolves running by. (maybe i was imagining it...)

c) at the zoo. xD They were so pretty! And they kept staring at me lol.

d) this is the most recently...my sis was skiing down a big hill and then one crossed out right in front of her. O.O My dad screamed "stop! wolf!" and she thought he said "go faster." xD Then it crossed in front of her again and then disappeared off into the wild.

Wow, all three of you're encounters with wolves are pretty scare if you think about it.

Only times I've ever seen them was at the zoo... It was winter, so even though it was only around 6pm, it was dark out. They were standing under the only light that was in their enclosure yipping and howling away, while a zookeeper rattled off facts. Half the people there were howling too, trying to talk with the wolves ^^... The second time we went I brought a sketchbook, but they weren't as active... Just sat down waiting for lunch ^^. Feeding time was interesting though. o.o

During my trip to Canada we went to the Northern Lights Wildlife Centre where they cared for wolves so we got to stand about 5 meters from some of them [a fence in-between] and we howled with them and such. c:

Living in Australia I have no chance of seeing any in the wild though
